Course Overview

The 52880WA Certificate IV in Leadership and Mentoring is a nationally recognised accredited course providing participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively lead and mentor individuals within small to medium sized teams across a wide range of industries. The course is designed primarily for emerging Indigenous leaders and other Indigenous personnel who have prescribed mentoring functions within the workplace.

This program suits both existing managers and leaders who wish to consolidate and build upon their leadership skills, as well as new and emerging supervisors who wish to advance their personal performance and provide mentoring support to others in the workplace or the broader community.

 


 

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisite requirements for the course or individual units. However, a reasonable level of reading and writing is required, as well as reasonable computer skills. To complete the assessment component of this course, students will need to be working in or have access to a workplace where they can complete the workplace assessments.

Trainwest will assist students to identify their eligibility for enrolment into this course.

Units

Course Structure

Face-to-face training for this course is typically delivered over nine (9) days, with three (3) additional days allocated to Support Workshops, which are delivered approximately one month after their respective training Blocks training.

 

The three training Blocks are as follows:

  1. Professional development and mentoring
  2. Workplace communication
  3. Mentoring, workplace ethics and critical thinking.
