Trainwest’s BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set course provides learners with a sound theoretical knowledge base of auditing and ensures they have all the technical skills to plan, carry out and evaluate internal and external audits.
Structured in compliance to AS/NZS ISO 19011 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, this course delivered by Trainwest’s highly qualified trainers, will enable you to develop audit plans, create audit tools conduct audits using interview and note-taking skills and lead an audit team. This course is suitable for any management system audit across any industry, including Registered Training Organisations, Safety, Quality and Environment. Successful students will also develop the ability to conduct audits based on their relevant company processes, systems, standards and work practices.
This auditing training course will develop your knowledge of selecting a team, assigning roles, developing work schedules, writing formal audit reports, collecting evidence , and your ability to clearly deliver an audit report through various presentation methods. The training course will also assist you in applying skills and knowledge learned into real-world projects and simulation activities.
This workshop includes units from the BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing.
There are no prerequisites requirements for individual units. However a reasonable level of reading and writing is required, as well as reasonable computer skills. To complete the assessment component of this course you will need to be working in or have access to a workplace where you can complete the workplace assessments.
This course is progression towards the BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing. On completion of the assessment requirements if you hold a qualification or a Statement of attainment with at least eight diploma level units of competency listed, (training packaging rules apply) these will enable you to gain the BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing.
Face to face: Face to face training for this skill set is delivered over three days. All students are required to complete a Workplace Project after the face to face training to demonstrate application of auditing in the workplace. The volume of learning of a Diploma qualification is typically is typically up to twelve months.

eLearning: All training is conducted online, through Trainwest’s eLearning portal. Assessments are submitted directly through the eLearning portal. Hard copy learner guides can be purchased for an additional cost. As a self-directed student, you receive ongoing remote support from Trainwest trainers. This may be in the form of telephone, email or digital communication tools such as Skype. Face-to-Face training can be arranged at an additional fee.
